Aside from skiing and boarding, there are plenty of activities to keep visitors busy in and around St Martin de Belleville.
Hiking and snowshoeing
The Belleville Valley offers a protected environment for those eager to hike and snowshoe. Open throughout the winter season (weather permitting), visitors can use the marked paths to discover the valley and its natural environment and some of the local ski schools offer guided snowshoeing excursions.
The more adventurous hikers can also gain access to the high altitude paths, which are accessible to pedestrians via certain of the lifts in the 3 Valleys ski area.
For those wanting some pampering and relaxation when they are off the slopes then there are several luxurious spa options.
There are two spas within a mile of the chalet, one in the village and one at La Bouitte in nearby St Marcel. The village spa includes access to its swimming pool, gym, sauna and jacuzzis with any treatment.
We also offer in-chalet treatments so that you don’t need to leave the privacy of your own bedroom to have your weary limbs massaged or indulge in an organic facial. Treatment menus for all of these options can be found in the chalet and can be booked by your chalet host.
Dog sleigh riding
Throughout the winter season you can try dog sleigh riding along the river from St Martin de Belleville. You can either opt for a 30 minute ride to the traditional hamlet of Les Esserts or a 1hr trip that includes a visit to an ancient mountain mill. This is a magical experience and great fun for both young and old.
Cross country skiing
Those wanting a more energetic pastime can try their hand at cross country skiing. There are 28kms of marked out cross country pistes in the valley between Saint Martin de Belleville and Les Menuires.
There are two toboggan tracks in the valley, one in Les Menuires and one in Val Thorens (where the toboggan track starts at 3000m and is 5km long). We also have sledges at Chalet Cateline that you are welcome to use throughout your stay for some family fun.
If you are looking for some activities away from the snow then in nearby Les Menuires there is a sports centre and swimming pool; and a cinema for those who just want to take it easy.
